Beulah E. Longman

September 1, 1916 -June 10, 2011

Beulah E. Longman, 94, of Beloit, a long-time Janesville area resident went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Premier Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing in Beloit. Beulah was born on September 1, 1916 in Janesville, the daughter of Severt and Myrtle (Martin) Larson. She graduated from Janesville High School. She married Leslie Longman on July 9, 1935. Following their marriage, they farmed

in Johnstown Township where they resided until the early 1970’s, when they moved to Turtle Township. Mrs. Longman worked for a time at Yost’s Clothing in Janesville. Beulah enjoyed wintering in Florida for 33 years. She was a long-time member of the Shopiere United Methodist Church.

Surviving are 2 children, Lin Howard of Beloit, David (Becky) Longman of Iola, WI, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Marian Longman, several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Leslie preceded her in death in 1990. Also preceding her in death are her son-in-law, Gary Howard, a great-grandson who died at birth and her sister, Louise Boden.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Pastor Lawrence Turner will officiate. Interment will be in Emerald Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, July 1st at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
